The hike we chose was our first hike together as a couple when we were dating & we wanted it to be the first as husband and wife. We have a picture of us together from that very first hike when we’re dating and wanted to try to mimic it. Clayton & Caroline hiked with all of their gear to take our wedding pics & to help us recreate that first picture. We shared all of the ideas and pictures that we wanted to capture on our hike. Hey there I’m Clayton, the owner and lead photographer of Afterglow Photography. I started this company with two main goals in mind. First, to provided high-quality imaging services for my clients - products that can bring joy for years to come. Second, to grow as an artist. To deepen my understanding of a beloved art form and to continue learning for a life-time. For me, photography isn’t just a job, it’s a lifestyle that is endlessly fascinating and consistently puts me in contact with amazing people.
My style is cinematic and natural, but I am versatile and enjoy consultations on aesthetics. If you have a different look in mind let’s discuss it!
When I’m not pre-occupied with photography, you can find me hiking and camping the beautiful mountains of WNC. If you are adventurous, I’m more than willing to make the trek to your perfect mountain locale.
I am a licensed kayak guide, licensed whale-watcher, and a licensed drone operator. I’ve been an active member of the I.A.T.S.E 491 film union since 2015, where I specialize in props and set decoration.
